Biography

Alejandra Del Real (1977) is a talented Mexican artist whose creativity is fueled by her passion for fashion, music, and positive psychology. She holds a bachelor’s degree in graphic design, a diploma in human development, and a master’s degree in educational psychology. Her dual background in art and psychology has shaped her approach to her art work, which is often focused on exploring the relationship between joy and well-being.

From a young age, she attended various art workshops, expanding her academic background through courses at the University of Monterrey. During her time in the United States (Texas and Connecticut) from ages 9 to 12, she had the opportunity to join cultural trips to Italy and Canada, experiences that had a profound impact on her work, it enriched her appreciation for different cultures and perspectives.

Del Real’s paintings exude vibrancy and color. These pieces capture happy memories and reflect her view of the world, using a variety of media, such as oil, acrylic, watercolor, chalk, fabric, digital art, infrared photography, and, more recently, resin sculpture with automotive paint. Her works are the result of in-depth research, a process she enjoys as much as the creative endeavor itself.

Her work is often described as joyful, colorful, unique and optimistic. She strives to capture the beauty of the world around her in her paintings, which are often inspired by pop culture, positive psychology, music and her love for fashion.

This multifaceted artist continues to create and produce artworks. Currently, she is the founder and teacher at the SCHOOL OF MODERN HEART, a creative psychology workshop for children. In this space, children learn to lead, cultivate positive habits, promote their emotional well-being, and enhance their creativity.

“I firmly believe that art can be a powerful tool for healing and transformation and creating a positive change.” She believes that art has the power to uplift and inspire others, it can transform lives, including her own, and she is committed to using her creations to contribute to make the world a better place. “ I hope that my art can bring joy and inspiration to others. I believe that we all have the power to create our own happiness, and I want my art to be a reminder of that.”

A portion of the proceeds from her art works goes to various charitable foundations that support causes such as mental health, education, and disability, among others.
